As assistant director of Ultra Gypsy, Rose taught with Jill Parker throughout the United States and Europe at major festivals, workshops, and private instruction, giving her an unparalelled foundation for teaching her unique material.
Festivals she is honored to have been a part of include Tribal Fest, Spirit of the Tribes, Northern Migration, Tribal Quest, Tribal Cafe, Tribal Con,The Las Vegas Belly Dance Intensive, and the International Belly Dance Convention.
Her experience with large group instruction and private/troupe coaching with a focus on professional performance makes Rose a versatile and articulate instructor.
Rose has developed Dance Core Movement Initiation for Belly Dancers, material that came about as a result of traveling and teaching extensively.
"I started to notice that many of the belly dancers we were teaching didn't fully understand how to tap in to their core strength for dancing. as I continued my training in modern, contemporary, and ethnic dance forms I started to see how these classes utilized training to strengthen the core muscles in a way that was then directly applied to dance technique. I started to apply these principles to my belly dance practice and all kinds of things started to click in to place for me. I started to modify many of the things I was learning to correlate with belly dance material and integrated them in to my weekly class. The material draws on dance training, Dunham and Slivestre Technique, yoga, pilates, and strength training. It's a great way enrich your dance practice to get the most out of your movement!"

The Heart of Tribal Fusion
Saturday September 7th, 3:30 - 5pm
Strength, grace, dynamic movement - these are the hallmarks of today's Tribal Fusion. We will explore movement that utilizes the Tribal vocabulary as a foundation as well as stylizations that can be applied to other forms for a true understanding of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance. Rose will lead you through a through practice of isolations, across the floor progressions, short movement phrases and traveling with turns to create dynamic layers that will push your concept of drilling to a performance geared level. Rose will also share her unique approach to achieving the big, juicy shimmies that are the heart of tribal fusion. This workshop is for dancers with a solid movement foundation so that we may work on adding challenging layers & concepts and address intention through movement.
